1. Overview & Policy Statement

At PREPsafe, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our food safety and labeling solutions. This Warranty Document outlines the specific coverage terms, conditions, and procedures for claims applicable to PREPsafe Hardware, Consumables, and related products supplied directly or through authorized distributors.

2. Summary of Warranty Coverage

3. Detailed Terms and Conditions

3.1 PREPsafe Printers (12-Month Hardware Warranty)

PREPsafe warrants all printer hardware units against operational defects for a period of twelve (12) months starting from the original date of purchase or installation.

  • Included: Internal motor defects, logic board failures, power delivery issues, and factory defects under standard commercial use.

  • Excluded: Physical damage caused by drops, liquid spills (outside of standard IP-rated protection), unauthorized modifications, third-party power adapters, or failure to perform regular maintenance (e.g., thermal head cleaning).

3.2 PREPsafe Consumables & Labels (Best-Before Date Warranty)

All PREPsafe consumable items, including specialized food labels and ribbons, are covered under warranty up to the Best-Before Date printed on their original packaging.

  • Included: Adhesive failure under standard specified temperatures, premature fading/smudging when used with approved printers, and material degradation.

  • Requirements: Consumables must be stored in accordance with PREPsafe handling guidelines (cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity).

  • Excluded: Labels used beyond their stated best-before date, or damage resulting from improper storage and handling conditions.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not extend to any product affected by:

  • Use of non-genuine PREPsafe consumables or incompatible thermal media that damages printer mechanisms.

  • Accident, abuse, misuse, liquid ingress, or acts of nature (lightning, flooding, power surges).

  • Normal wear and tear resulting from standard commercial operation.

  • Repairs or modifications attempted by unauthorized service technicians.

5. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with your PREPsafe printer or consumable labels, please follow these steps:

  1. Locate your proof of purchase (tax invoice or purchase order number).

  2. For label/consumable claims, record the batch/lot number and Best-Before Date printed on the product packaging.

  3. Contact PREPsafe Technical Support via email at support@prepsafe.com.au or thsales@prepsafe.com

  4. Provide a description of the issue along with clear photos or video demonstration of the fault.

  5. Upon review, PREPsafe will issue a Return Authority Request (RA) and instructions for repair, replacement, or credit processing.
